John Aldag Seeking to be Cloverdale - Langley City’s Next Member of Parliament

For Immediate Release

June 14, 2021

(Cloverdale - Langley City, BC) John Aldag, former Member of Parliament for Cloverdale - Langley City, is running to represent the riding in Ottawa. Aldag’s nomination was acclimated by the Liberal Party of Canada on Mar 16 with his campaign officially launching on June 14, 2021.

From 2015-2019, John Aldag represented Cloverdale - Langley City. He delivered results for all residents, including over $10 million in federal support for local infrastructure and business development, fighting climate action as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainability, and advocating for more inclusive child care and parental leave policies that ensured equal rights and career opportunities for all parents.

“Now, our progress is at risk. The current Conservative Member of Parliament has failed to grasp the magnitude of the pandemic, offer constructive solutions, or connect people in need with vital government programs. For nearly two years, I have watched our community struggle. I know it’s time for a driven, proven, and progressive leader to get Cloverdale - Langley City back on track,” said Aldag.

“Instead of assuming what matters most to Cloverdale - Langley City, I want you to tell me what issues and priorities are most important to you and your family. Over the summer, I will have a survey available on my website and I’ll be offering virtual door-knocks to residents until it’s safe to see everyone again, face to face. I am focusing on listening so I can better understand and fight for what our community needs,”  he concluded.
