Local Platform Responds to Needs in Cloverdale - Langley City

Cloverdale - Langley City -- Liberal Party of Canada candidate John Aldag is listening to local constituents and has a plan to to help Cloverdale - Langley City build back stronger by ensuring fairness and equality, making life more affordable, and creating climate change solutions that build a sustainable future. In his local platform John addresses the concerns and needs he’s hearing from people across the riding.

If elected on September 20, John Aldag will:

  • Deliver Skytrain through Surrey to Langley City and other infrastructure improvements for our growing community.

  • Restore positive, progressive and inclusive politics to Cloverdale - Langley City to heal the harms caused by the current Member of Parliament’s socially conservative agenda.

  • Establish a local Fairness, Diversity, and Inclusion Council to create solutions and advise on policy to reduce inequality in our community. 

  • Promote real climate change solutions with evidence-based policy and work with the BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy to secure investments in clean, zero emission technologies to create sustainable jobs in Cloverdale - Langley City. 

  • Fight to make life more affordable with $10/day child care and Canada’s most comprehensive housing strategy ever. 

  • Work with Indigenous leaders and local partners to create a place for delivery of Indigenous services and celebration of Indigenous culture in Cloverdale - Langley City.

  • Advocate for federal support for local Indigenous history education programs and cultural celebrations. 

  • Secure federal support for accessible, sustainable spaces where the people of Cloverdale - Langley City can celebrate our vibrant performing arts community. 

  • Convene an Agricultural Advisory Council of farmers and other agricultural industry partners to share insights and advice to help him advocate for policy and legislative changes that support strong and sustainable agriculture in Cloverdale - Langley City. 

John Aldag has a reputation for listening to local constituents, and has worked hard to involve the community in building his platform through an online survey, direct one-on-one calls, and lots of door knocking.
